Who we are
Alphatech ("we", "us") builds business automation systems for companies in Malta. We are the controller of the personal data described below. Contact us at info@alphatech.fit.
What we collect
When you contact us, fill in a form on this website, or submit a form on a Facebook or Instagram ad, we collect:
- Your name, work email address and phone number
- Your business name and what it does
- Your answers to our questions (for example team size and what takes most of your week)
- Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or our website chat
We also use basic website analytics to understand how pages are used, and record which ad or page brought you to us.
Why we use it
- To contact you about the Operational Audit and book it with you (performing steps you asked for before a contract)
- To deliver the audit, report or system you buy (performing a contract)
- To follow up with business owners who showed interest and to measure which marketing works (our legitimate interest in running and improving the business)
- To keep invoices and accounting records, as the law requires (legal obligation)
We do not sell your data and we do not use it to make automated decisions that affect you.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the business, under their own data protection terms:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which collects ad form submissions on our behalf
- Airtable, where we keep our contact records
- Our email, hosting and workflow automation providers
- Our accountant and accounting software, for invoicing
Some of these providers process data outside the EU. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
If you enquire and do not become a client, we delete your details after 12 months. If you become a client, we keep your records for the period required by Maltese tax and accounting law, currently 6 years.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, object to our use of it, or receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@alphatech.fit and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta at idpc.org.mt.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
